2012 Sydney Royal Wine Show Cellar Tasting

 

The Sydney Royal Wine Show Cellar Tasting offers tastings of over 2,200 Australian wines. Put your taste buds to the test and be one of the first to preview the medal and trophy winners from the 2012 Show.

 Note for those who have pre-purchased tickets, physical tickets aren't issued - simply purchase, print off your confirmation and attend!

 

 

 Tickets include a range of free events and offers:

  • FREE Macquarie Group Sydney Royal Wine Show results catalogue.
  • Tasting of Sydney Royal medal winning gourmet food products.
  • The opportunity to book a place in a cheese & wine matching tutorial with a qualified cheese judge.
  • The opportunity to purchase a delicious Ploughman's Lunch to picnic with on the day. This delectable picnic-pack for one contains medal winning cheddar cheese, Gold medal Gibson Grove manzanillo olives, Brasserie Bread sourdough baguette, smoked ham, Branston Pickle and pickled onions.

 

New events for 2012 include:

  • Sparkling Wine Tutorial: Bubbly connoisseurs have the opportunity to book into a NEW Sparkling Wine Tutorial, presented by Peter Bourne, The Wine Man. There are four tutorial times available throughout the day. Cost is $18.
  • Lunch with Lyndey - Secrets of Food & Wine Pairing: Renowned food and wine expert Lyndey Milan walks you through the subtleties of complimenting mouth-watering meals with the perfect drop. Be treated to a stunning four course lunch with matching wines, as well as a private tutorial with Chairman of Judges, Iain Riggs. Places are limited, don't miss out! Please note, an event entry ticket needs to be purchased in addition to a 'Lunch with Lyndey' ticket. Lunch is held between 12:00noon and 2:30pm. Lunch cost is $120.

The Cellar Tasting will be held in Southee Pavillion, Sydney Showground, on the corner of Showground Road and Grand Parade. Patrons consuming alcohol at the event are encouraged to catch public transport to Olympic Park. View the Cityrail timetable here. Alternatively, parking is available via the P1 and P6 parking stations indicated on the map.

Please note there are limited seats available for tutorials. There is limited supply of bottles available for tasting and will be served on a first in best dressed basis. The event is for persons over 18 years only. The RAS endorses responsible service of alcohol.
