Benefits of a Royal Win

Since its inception in 1822, the RAS has dedicated itself to the pursuit of excellence in agriculture. It has been an influential voice in setting benchmarks and raising the production values of Australia’s primary industries, ensuring that agriculture is recognised and appreciated for the vital role it plays in the health and wealth of the nation. The principal means by which the RAS measures excellence is through the Sydney Royal Competitions that it organises.

Held in the context of the Sydney Royal Easter Show and also at other times during the year, the Sydney Royal Competitions showcase a vast array of products, from farm animals to wines to cheeses to craftwork and cakes, to a huge and diverse audience. These competitions identify and applaud the best woodchoppers, the top showjumpers, outstanding Rural Achievers and the finest alpacas, pigs, goats and sheep.

Today, the Sydney Royal conducts around 21 Competitions for animals, livestock and lifestyle categories at the annual Sydney Royal Easter Show, as well as the highly esteemed Sydney Royal Wine, Dairy & Fine Food Shows. Under the supervision of highly qualified judges, these competitions distinguish and acknowledge the true champions.

For Sydney Royal Competitors, a win is a testament to achievement at the highest level. It is a confirmation of dedication, ability, uncompromising diligence and sheer hard work. As well as the pride and prestige that a win provides, it is also a potential launch pad for increasing returns. Sydney Royal winners can confidently expect increased demand for their products, and an enhanced profile for their brand. Winners become part of Australia’s proud agricultural tradition, a story of success that has sustained the nation since its foundation.
